The archived web adds a time dimension to the live internet, making it possible to travel back in time and see how websites looked in the past.
Pages available through archivedWeb.net have been preserved by web archives around the world. The platform acts as a gateway to this distributed network of web archives, helping you discover and access historical web content quickly and easily.
Why isn't my website archived?
archivedWeb.net does not archive websites directly and is not responsible for the archived content itself. Instead, it provides access to pages preserved by independent web archives.
How can I archive my website?
You can add your website to the archived web by submitting it to one of the supported web archiving services worldwide. Popular options include the Internet Archive’s SavePageNow, Arquivo.pt’s ArchivePageNow, and similar archiving tools.
Once a page has been archived, it may become discoverable through archivedWeb.net.
The free public API enables developers to interact with the archived web programmatically.
It is a work in progress, and new endpoints and features will be added over time. For more information or to submit feature requests, please contact feedback@archivedweb.net.
In addition to the public API, full support for the oEmbed standard is available across all archived pages, making it effortless to embed archived content directly into your website or application.
By simply copying the address of an archived page into supported platforms, such as a blog, it will automatically generate rich embed previews that display and link the archived content in a clean and consistent format.
